There are many different aspects to The Journey. You can expect to be challenged. You can expect it to be difficult and even a bit dangerous. The Rite of Passage last 6 days. The first two days are spent in conversation with the group about issues of severance, cutting yourself off from all relationships and society. It’s always amazing how issues arise throughout these discussions. We find that we are more attached to this world than we thought, and to completely cut ourselves off from civilization can be difficult. These days are very important and have to be completed before entering into the threshold experience.
On the evening of the second day you will enter into the threshold portion of this rebirth. You will fast for 3 days and spend that time is solitude. Just you, God and creation. You will learn things about yourself. You will experience fear, loneliness, despair, joy, exhilaration, and a deeper understanding of who you are, what your story is, and who you are in relationship with Christ.
Once the threshold experience is complete, we will start the reincorporation aspect. Bringing you back into society and relationships as a new person. Answering questions such as: What do I do now? How do I do what I did before, as I am now? We will share our stories of the threshold experience with one another in a ceremony of transition.
